SUJET : La jeune Monika Dahlhoff rentre chez elle après deux ans passés en Amérique. Elle apprend que son père compte vendre son haras familial, auquel il tient tant, suite à une violente dispute avec les membres du club d'équitation. La colère du père Dahlhoff redouble lorsque Monika tombe amoureuse de Jörg, le fils de son pire ennemi. Monika réalise tardivement que Jörg est un coureur de jupons invétéré. Seul un incident dramatique lors de la traditionnelle "Chasse d'Hubert" semble ramener à la raison les pères obstinés et le frivole Jörg…
